This hotel is in a great location. It's right in the shopping district, and there are a ton of nice restaurants! I had one problem. The woman/concierge at the front desk was a bit rude when we arrived. She claimed that she didn't see our names on the registry. Anyway, to make a long story short, her co-workers made up for her rudeness. We had a great time! The hotel was very clean, and in the best location! You can go to many places by foot. It's also close to the subway/Metro!

and free wireless all over the place; breakfast is quite expensive, but quality & diversity are a plus.

very convenient to a very nice neighbourhood with lots of small restaurants, tapas bars, shops and the Retiro Park in walking distance; free-of charge wireless access everywhere; the single rooms are a bit small; rooms facing C/ Goya are noisy due to the traffic; air condition did not really work well - it was already very warm for early spring - so either you keep the windows open (=traffic) or its getting hot; overall: good value for money great breakfast buffet

Hotel is situated a few yards from the metro and a bus stop which takes you directly into Sol. Useful if you don't want to stay and pay inflated prices in the touristy districts.

The Vincci Soma in Madrid on Goya Street is in a very nice location with the Goya Metro stop right across the street. The desk staff were very courteous. My room was nice, clean and quiet. It is very easy to hop on the Metro and get to the Palacio Real and the Plaza Mayor in just a few minutes. I got a 10-trip Metro ticket for 7 euros. Use a moneybelt to avoid pickpocets on the Metro.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We love the location in that is across the street from a subway stop with lines going to key places in Madrid. The neighborhood is residential with some nice shopping streets, and not very touristy. If you are looking for a quaint neighborhood with tappas bars on every corner, this isn't it (try the neighborhood behind the Palace hotel for that and where there is another Vincci hotel). The hotel itself was clean and the rooms and bathrooms were good sized and the beds comfortable. The one complaint we had was that with hardwood floors in each room, you could hear every step taken by the people in the room above as well as chairs being moved, suitcases being rolled, etc. This got rather old late at night and early in the morning. This is really quite a poor design for a hotel, and you will need to call the reception if the people upstairs keep you up all night.

We really did enjoy the hotel, it was perfect because of it's close proximity to my daughter who lives in the salamanca barrio. If it weren't for her living there I'm not sure that would have been the area we would have chosen. The plus is it is in a less congested part of the city. Couple of problems I had with the hotel, walls are very thin!! Had to call downstairs a couple of nights to quiet people in the room next to ours. ( around 2-3 am!!!) Also there was no real fresh air, no open window, and there was no fan or cool air, room was a bit stuffy!

This medium sixe hotel is coveniently located near some of the best shopping districts in Madrid and the great museums. Rooms are comfortable and well sized. Television offers several channels in English. Excellent bed and down comforter. Shower is good, with glass door and shower head can be positioned high enough toi spray your head(which is not always the case in Europe). A big bonus is the 'biblioteca', a nice lounge with two pcs with internet access which guests are free to use.

Great location, plenty of taxi and friendly peoples... The Bottom line - I became ill while on holiday in Madrid - the Hotel staff went the extra mile to make me feel better - Lots of tea w/ honey and toast... and sleep!

We had a wonderful stay, from the specialized pillow service to great drinks in the bar. The staff was attentive and friendly and very willing to help with questions and requests. The deal we got with hotels.com made it an expecially great deal.

we requested a non-smoking room and were put on a smoking floor. the a/c did not work and we were assigned a room on the second floor so that we felt the disco at 430 in the morning. also were not allowed to access AOl from their internet library, no explanation. food was very good and wait persons very good.

We stayed in five different hotels in various cities in Spain. This was our favorite one. It's not within walking distance of the city center, but it is very close to a Metro stop (less than 1/2 block away). You can get to the city center/tourist areas in 5-10 minutes and don't even have to change metro lines. The neighborhood seemed safe. The beds, albeit twin-sized, were very comfortable, with duvets. The room was very quiet; double-paned windows blocked nearly all the street noise. The bathroom was big but had no fan (seems to be the norm in Spain). There was a good hair dryer too (not the norm in Spain). I would stay here again.

Hotellet var smukt, fashionabelt og havde alle de faciliteter man som tourist og forretningskvinde har brug for. Beliggenheden var meget central, og service niveauet var højt blandt personalet. Rigtig god oplevelse.

Hotellet var supergodt til prisen. Værelset var flot og moderne og der manglede bestemt ikke noget. Receptionen svarede behjælpeligt på alle spørgsmål, men var dog ikke aktive da deres computere i biblioteket var gået ned. Dette var et problem for os, da vi kunne check in til vores flytur hjem over internettet. Dette trak ned i vores vurdering.

Es war eine super Idee, diese Hotel im noblen Bezirk Salamanca zu wählen: direkt vor dem Hotel die Metro, interessante Kneipen im Umfeld (z.B. das Geographic Cafe), tolles Einkaufen (wenn gewünscht) in der C. Serrano und in der gesamten Umgegend. Der Preis stimmte, auch das sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet und das komplette Design-Ambiente. Die Zimmer topp - lediglich mäßiger Empfang der deutschen TV-Programme und in der 7. Etage ein klein bisschen hellhörig. Kombiniert haben wir 3 Tage Madrid (Madrid, Vision, Prado, Retiro, Palacio Real, Innenstadt....) mit 1 Tag Toledo

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral an der Metrostation Goya, viele Shopping-Gelegenheiten und gute Verbindungen ins gesamte Stadtgebiet.

lits confortables. climatisation déficiente et bruyante. prix exhorbitant pour un petit dejeuner très ordinaire.

Très bonne adresse pour Madrid
