Overall the hotel location and cleanliness was excellent. The service was good. One major draw back is that it is located over a restraunt/bar. Therefore from our room we could hear the music, especially the bass all night long(until 6 am). Another drawback is that you have to pay 20 dollars a night for parking. p.s. bring a sweater...the rooms are freezing.

Perfect if all you want from your hotel is a clean bed and shower between the beach and the clubs. Pros: location is excellant, nice towels, clean rooms. Cons: no luggage storage, ice machine was broken, service was below par

Found a cheap room right on Ocean Dr. Right across the street from the beach and in walking distance to all things South Beach. The rooms were cleaner than expected. For the money, you can't beat it.

the people are very nice i have nothing against them it's just the place is old,old old dirty, loud.could not sleep all night because of blaring boom boxes.no controls for the air conditioning in the room,rooms were hot until the sun went down.no bar no food except for sandwichs.lobby is not aircond. i couldn't wait to get home.would never stay there again.the place was hell on earth

You cannot get a better bang for your buck. South Beach is one of my favorite vacation spots however I over the years have found it extremely difficult to find a hotel with reasonable rates, great location that is clean. Beach Paradise was not a luxury hotel by any means however it was very clean, very conveniently located and very inexpensive and I will stay there again and again and again.

This hotel is in a great location to experience the night life of Miami Beach, however, there was no dresser to put your garments in and parking can be a hassel. I do like the 12pm checkout.

we show up and automatically get hit for parking fees, which consist of double and triple parking within a small area.In order to to be able to go somewhere you have to have the person at the desk move about 4-5 cars before getting to yours. The cleanliness of the room was gross, The ceiling in a couple areas had like big stains, the bathroom shower didn't have a curtain just a piece of glass that extended half way down the tub.Everytime you take a shower the bathroom floor gets soaked. In the room there were two beds and a table,no decor or anything that made you feel comfortable,just bare walls and stains.....I would never pay the money to stay ther again.For the money I could have stayed a block or two over and had easy access to the beach as well as not felt like I was going to catch something.

Got exactly what we paid for. The location was great, room was clean and the guy at the front desk was very helpful. This place is a good deal if you are looking to spend a weekend on South Beach and spend minimal money to be it the heart of it all.

I wouldn't recomend this place to my worse enemy, there was no parking at the hotel and if they had space you hav eto pay an additional 25$ a day,room service horrible. It was a overall bad experince for us i had to check out a day early

Excellent location on South Beach within walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants, nightlife. Hotel is an old hotel, but rooms have been updated, especially the bathroom. Service at desk was very friendly and helpful. Parking was an add-on expense, and very limited with approximately 10 parking spaces.

We absolutely loved the location, it was walking distance to virtually everything. The staff was very helpful, when needed. My only complaint would be that we were never given the right amount of face towels and being that the hotels is right across from the beach, the maids never swept up the sand we tracked in on those beautiful tile floors. But other than that when in South Beach we will always book this hotel!!

Great place to stay. Very convenient to the beach, clubs and Ocean Drive. The only issue I found, its the parking, there is no parking and the elevator is really old and scary!!!

This hotel was horrible..there was no bedspring for the matress. NO PARKING at the hotel location! My Husband had to pay $30.00 and park 7 blocks away!!!The elevator was from circa 1910 and was scary to use. I was not satisfied with it at all. You didn't even have a view of the beach, just all the people!

its really all about the location. the hotel isnt amazing...but we weren't there to spend the entire day in the room. the room actually did resemble the picture. not bad. great price for the location. would recommend.

Not a bad spot. Wasn't expecting anything crazy after reading the reviews. But the location is GREAT and my room was clean... They also have parking in the back (something not many other hotels on Ocean Dr have).

- Hotel is located in a good location - If you are looking for a place to sleep while enjoying miami night life and the beach this is okay. - Beds were pretty bad.

The hotel couldn't be in a better location if you're looking for a fun South Beach experience. The hotel isn't anything special but the room was clean, the location is fantastic, and the price was very reasonable for the area. I would stay there again.

It was Dirty, People were rude, you can't control the A/C in room, Parking is super expensive. Soda in loby $3.00 a can, ice cream in lobby 2 small scoops $5.00

We booked at this hotel knowing that it didn't have a lot of amenities, but I was disappointed that it was in disrepair. The first room they put us in didn't have hot water, so they moved us to another room down the hall. The room was very small with no view at all - it was not "charming" as their web site said. The cold air vent blew right onto the bed, and we had no control over it except to open or close the vent. It was so cold over night that it was uncomfortable. The elevator, which looks like it dates to the 1920s, broke down and wasn't fixed three days later when we checked out. As for the location, we found that we enjoyed the areas to the north much better, and would walk or take the bus every night to the Lincoln Ave Mall, so next time, we would stay about six blocks farther north. Also, at checkout there was a strange situation with the taxi. We were content to flag one down since they were sitting around outside the hotel, but the clerk insisted that he call a certain company that they work with, and told me that the other cab drivers were dishonest. But the price to the airport is fixed by law and clearly marked in all cabs, and my partner hailed a taxi from another company. The guy the clerk called showed up too and was angry and yelling. It was strange - not sure what their arrangement is with that company. Overall, the price was good, but you get what you pay for - just a place to sleep and nothing more.

This hotel is on Ocean Blvd right in the heart of South Beach. Great location for walking everywhere we needed to go. This hotel is typical of the size of hotel rooms you would get in Europe.

Don't let the crankpots distract you. This hotel is fine, clean, even mildly charming in some ways. Rooms are small, but ok. Area is good and the price is right. I would go back.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures on the website. The rooms are very small. Not to mention the air barely works. The elevator is a death trap,and the handle in the stairwell was broken. Nevertheless, the room was very clean

This hotel would be ok if you are a college student on spring break. Otherwise, don't bother booking there.

Located right in the heart of the art deco district. Room was clean and small, but it was great for a night on South Beach. I loved the elevator, My wife hated it!

Well what can I say, After reading some of the reviews I was scared to check in and stay at this hotel. The reviews could not have been more wrong. I was a little lucky I got a nice ocean view room where I could see the street, beach, our room was spacious for the price and clean. They could probably use new mattress but who really sleeps when visiting South Beach!!! This might not be a 5 star hotel but for the price and location I have to give 5 stars. I'm planing on staying there again...

Nice hotel. Close to beach and all else. The only weird part was the location of the TV. But who goes to a hotel in Florida to watch TV?

I stayed in the Beach Paradise Hotel. I was not impressed with the hotel but love the location. The stay was "okay" until someone came into my room while I was sleeping and stole my purse, including the keys to the rental car. Yes, the rental car was stole also. One good thing is the hotel had cameras and hopefully the person will be caught. I was not the only guest that the person stole from that night. The hotel needs to be updated with securtiy latches from inside the room and people should be questioned by the front dest for proof of staying in the hotel or their destination when they enter the building past a certain time.

This establishment is more akin to a Motel than a hotel. It's the kind of place you only stay for a night or two if you need to be in the area and you do not plan on spending most of your time in the room. I was down on South Beach to run the Miami Half Marathon and to catch up with some friends, not to kick back and relax in the hotel. The hotel lobby, the room, the service is all spare, at best. The room and the sheets were clean, but it is comparable to a dorm room. Basic floor, basic standard issue dorm bed with no comforter. The television and lamp are all located in strange places, making it challenging to lay back and watch TV. The lock on the door is dated, so you need to be sure that you manually lock the door. There was AC blowing through a vent with a make shift open and shut system. No big deal, but definitely not top of the line AC. All that said, as the title indicates, the hotel and room served it's purpose. The hotel room and bathroom were clean and functional, the bed was "sleepable," the room was quiet, the staff was helpful and courteous, but best of all, it was an extemely convenient location to get to the race and to hang out on Ocean Dr. For the price, the hotel did the trick. If I were traveling with family or I intended to spend more time in my room, I probably would select a nicer hotel.

The room was outdated, not very clean. The door did not close properly. This was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Bed was uncomfortable. I would never stay here again even if it was 1/2 the price I paid.

front desk staff was very helpful, yet cleanliness of rooms is an issue and requires more stringent upkeep. finding a used condom in a supposedly "cleaned "room upon checkin is unsatisfactory not only to hotel standards yet to health regulatory standards. management needs to review quality control.

Clean but in need of A major renovation.Furnishings and interior of the building are quite old and run down.If all you need is a clean place to sleep and brush your teeth this place will work.But I have seen much nicer places on south beach for about the same money.There is a twenty doller a night charge for parking.This is about standard rate for this area.For the money I was disappointed!

The room was hotter than hades the entire night! there was absolutely no parking. had to park 4 blocks away in a parking garage paying an extra 20 dollars to stay parked over night.

If you are their to party great..If there to go to bed at decent hour do not stay here. Very noisy alot of yelling and screaming from outside, walls and ceilings are paper thin. You also have no control of AC, my windows did open but made the street noise louder..Cant get a better location and thewy have their own parking...a BIG plus. would stay again but ask for room away from street.

The location is perfect for South Beach action, but the hotel is a little dingy, and my room had terribly ineffective air conditioning.

The location of this hotel was great. It was right on Ocean Drive in the middle of all of the restaurants, shops and activities. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel is very old and has not been well maintained. It is very worn and "seedy" looking. The online photos were misleading. It was also not very clean. There was a thick layer of dust on all of the baseboards and dirt in the corners. The headboard was falling off of the wall and the drapes were drooping down. There were no beadspreads on the beds and no extra blankets. There are no thermostats in the rooms, so it was very cold during the night. The online information said the hotel had been renovated in 2007, but it didn't look like it had any recent renovations, other than paint. There was an outdoor, wooden and metal table with 4 chairs in the room which as impractical as there was no kitchenette, microwave or fridge. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair to sit on instead. The elevator I will not rely on online photos again when choosing a hotel.

Very good value located right in the middle of good food and clubs in exciting South Beach.

These are basic accommodations on Ocean Drive. Staff were very friendly. However, even though it seems to have been renovated, the renovations were low-end. Many of the rooms are next to a small side street, which amplifies the noise of partygoers. Pricing is very good however for the location.

This hotel is right on Ocean Drive on South Beach, within walking distance of everything you'll want. On-site parking for a daily rate. My room was very basic but the price was great, especially given that I was there during a busy weekend. Clean and comfortable - no complaints. This is a great place to stay if price and location are important.

Outside appearance of hotel is attractive. Enjoyed being directly on Ocean Ave. Enjoyed Coffee, water, softdrinks as well as pastries and desserts available in lobby. Older hotel with historic charm. Older style elevator had us laughing each time we used it as it is was very small and jerked to a halt! Rooms were clean. No bedspreads in room. No thermostat to control temperature. Windows can be opened. Parking available behind hotel, but very cramped. May not be ideal for someone used to the 4 or 5 star hotels. For the flexible adventurous crowd it's perfect!
