Opis

Location. The Thon Hotel Bristol is a 1920s hotel located in central Oslo, Norway, 150 metres from the National Gallery and Parliament buildings. The Royal Palace and Aker Brygge shopping centre are within 300 metres of the hotel.
Hotel Features. Thon Hotel Bristol is decorated with antiques and carved pillars, evoking the style of the 1920s. There is a concierge desk, currency exchange, florist and hair salon.

The Bristol Grill serves classic Norwegian dishes in a dining room with wood-panelled walls and chandeliers. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast. The less formal Hambro's Café is open for light meals, sandwiches, coffee and cake. Live piano music fills the air in the Bristol Lounge, which has sofas, leather armchairs and potted palms. Complimentary newspapers are available in the Library Bar.

Up to 500 people can be accommodated in the hotel's meeting and banqueting rooms. There is a business centre, and complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. The hotel offers computers for hire.

The Hotel Thon Bristol has an onsite fitness centre with sauna. The adjoining spa provides a range of massages and beauty treatments (surcharge). Guests can also play billiards.

Guestrooms. The Hotel Thon Bristol's 252 climate-controlled guestrooms feature complimentary high- speed Internet access, satellite television, minibars and complimentary newspapers.

Distance to Thon Hotel Bristol is 40 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis wait outside the Arrivals hall, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 500 NOK-900 NOK, depending on the number of passengers and the time of day. The Airport Express train runs every 10-20 minutes for the train station in Oslo city centre, and the fare is 160 NOK for a single ticket. Trains go from the airport to Lillehammer, Skien, and Trondheim. The SAS Airport bus leaves for Oslo every 20 minutes, and night buses are available. The journey time is approximately 35 minutes and single tickets cost 120 NOK. Coaches and buses run to other destinations throughout the city and the rest of Norway. Prices are all subject to change. There is car parking for guests nearby.

Getting around. The Thon Hotel Bristol is on Kristian Iv's Gate in the city centre. Oslo's efficient public transport network includes buses, trams, trains, and an underground (T-Bane) system. Ferries run between Oslo city hall and Bygdoy Island from April to October. Taxis are available, but very expensive. Onsite parking is available (surcharge).
